Rural charges

Additional Delivery Charges

NOTE: This mainly affects orders over 25kg travelling by Bulk Transport Truck to remote areas but may affect some smaller courier shipments depending on location.

Deliveries to some rural areas and outlying islands (e.g. Chatham Island, Stewart Island, Waiheke Island, Matakana Island, Great Barrier and D'Urville Island) will incur additional rural costs and are excluded from free shipping offers.

If your order is very large or your delivery address is in a remote area additional rural charges may be required. If this is the case an Online Sales Representative will contact you with the following options:

  • Pay the additional fee to have the item delivered direct.
  • Change the delivery address to a nearby non-rural address.
  • Collect from the nearest freight depot.

Unfortunately (other than outlying islands) we are unable to establish exactly which rural addresses will be affected by these charges prior to sending. A good general rule is if your address is serviced by a private Courier/Transport driver there will likely be additional charges.

How to avoid additional rural charges

The best way to avoid additional charges is to get your order sent care of a nearby non-rural address or the nearest freight depot.
